Description
A small boxy handbag with a metal clasp.
The bag is made from U.S. vegetable tanned leather and hand sewn with linen thread. The thread has been lightly waxed with Connecticut beeswax.
I sew all Edla bags in Portland, Maine without the use of a sewing machine. I use a pricking iron to create small holes in the leather and hand stitch the components together. I only use vegetable tanned leather which is processed using natural tannins, like that from tree bark, and takes longer to create. It will naturally develop a patina over time.
